Steve Evans and Gary Dukarich have each been practicing law for a quarter-century, but until a few years ago never together.

However, Steve and Gary’s association is not a new one: They met in 1967, at age 8, when they were in third grade and Cub Scouts together. They became fast friends, best friends and, as it turns out, lifelong friends. Skipping over their adventures together growing up in West Phoenix, almost two decades after their first meeting, Steve’s plan to go to law school was what inspired Gary to go as well.

After law school, Steve stayed and raised his family here, spending over two decades practicing in Phoenix, while Gary traveled around, practicing first in Tucson and then in California for many years.

In the early 2000s, Steve built a solo law practice in downtown Phoenix and maintained it for over a decade, representing many clients in probate litigation, personal injury, professional malpractice, commercial litigation, and other civil legal matters.

Gary Dukarich’s practice has traveled a bit. Gary practiced with a large Arizona law firm, served as general counsel of a high-tech company in California, and most recently practiced for over a decade with a mid-sized intellectual property “boutique” law firm in Southern California.

When Gary returned to Phoenix in 2012, it was no surprise they reunited, this time with Gary lending a hand in Steve’s Phoenix law practice. Knowing each other and working together as well as they do, a law partnership just naturally developed. They formalized that partnership with the formation of Evans Dukarich LLP on October 31, 2012. Within the partnership, Gary brings additional strength to Steve’s commercial litigation practice, and adds the new dimensions of intellectual property litigation and transactions, in which Gary focused for over a decade.
